Depends what you are trying to accomplish. If you are reaching for Django Channels in your Django project then yes I would investigate Phoenix, Phoenix.Channels, Phoenix.Presence, and Phoenix.LiveView.

I don't think stop signs with RF beacons is needed. The cameras on the car can provide just as good an image as what a human eye can. The problem to be figured out is generating a mental model of the environment and reasoning about it.

Same. I still use the old app on my iPhone. Syncing to Dropbox and iCloud no longer works. I periodically export to pdf as a backup. I have nine years of notes in that pdf. At some point an iOS update is going fully break the app, but I

I prefer using packages over apps too. My rule of thumb is, use packages unless the code is reuseable, then it can be an app, but if the code is reuseable it makes no sense for it to be in my repo, so should be extracted to an external repo

Elon talked about LIDAR at the autonomy investor day. Basically he said that the Dragon spacecraft has LIDAR and he spearheaded that effort. He also said that LIDAR and cameras both use the same wavelength, if you are going to add a sensor
