I am sorry but I am not a believer in a16z anything after their massive crypto token scams and wealth extraction. We all need to move away from all these companies who continue to bloat in private and then have a big pay day as a public com

I think the six months bootcamp hires certainly tilted the prestige part into tech being just another mass hiring industry. And mass hiring did happen during the pandemic on a large scale. Imo, tech is still a great place to be. But we all

It's by design. These companies can't pull this in any other EU country. Ireland was a relatively poor country 20 years ago. And is showered with money since then for its membership to the EU. Right question to ask is why did Germ

> And most devs hating on Java are using an IDE written mainly in Java (all the JetBrains ones): the irony of that one gives me the giggles. Don't forget Confluence and JIRA and all Atlassian products. Minecraft too. I facepalm when

It's a problem with all government departments. They can't pay market rates for software engineers. But can hire contractors and third party vendors. Facepalm * 100. That's why body shops like Accenture et al makes a killing

Stock market. A lot of these companies are not only kept afloat but celebrated because of some future pie in the sky possibility. Everyone makes money in this game from brokers, engineers, managers, media. A perfect merry go round.
