   This is very near to the diet prescribed by Dr William Davis - author of Track Your Plaque. The book is a lot more than just a diet book and is heart-health specific, though.

   Very helpful comment. Indeed, schemas are the way to go. Too many benefits against creating a database per customer to ignore.

   There are lot of cases where the query will indeed be complicated. Reports, for example. I have seen SQL queries reports which are quite complex, making sure that such SQL is always qualified with WHERE customer_id=5 is a maintenance nightm

    Linode. The only issue is my app creates subdomains on signup, and it takes about 5 minutes on linode to become active.

    I have not seen a software project where there is not enough work for somebody. What I've found useful, and which worked reasonably well for teams which have been working over a period of time together is to collectively estimate complexity
