So they would suffer the same decay all other web resources do? Broken links, no longer maintained tools, their opinionated choice (or lack of flexibility - which text + mathematical notation do have - if a set of stacks and data formats ge

People make these for autodidactic purposes, you can't expect them to always be interesting or even meet any expectations.

The problem is simple enough to solve without function calls at all (except maybe a comparator function) and this is why I like the second solution better: it is closer in spirit to the level of abstraction of the problem. I think OP missed

It has beautiful art, but is very empty and even as far as exploring goes, does not have enough stuff in it.

I am using it, and I always hated gratuitous redesigns or feature cuts. It doesn't even seem to be the kind of feature that requires enormous attention to maintain, on the other hand though regular browser users stick with it for a lon

Why is this even posted here? There is no real name on it, it spews one false and/or provocative statement after another without trying to provide any proof.

At least PDF books and papers are mostly self-contained and easily accessible in their pristine condition. This piece looks very inflammatory and appears to say "PDF is bad because PDF is not web" in too many words.

I didn't check but I don't think what you said is the case with graphical resources.

Tests should have been stretched in time and spread across classrooms to have smaller groups of people to practice social distancing, not be administered online; it is a cheatfest.

To me it is just something that grew by being distributed being merged into a monolithic entity. Merging and centralization seems reasonable at some point to solve big problems and iron out insignificant differences, and computing has alway

I think that setting up your development environment is often an ironically pleasant and linear (i.e. easy) task that is a matter of following some tutorials and that might make a beginner feel like they are accomplishing something. There w

You have little choice but to stick to a small number of things you have to prioritize out of all the things you want to study.

So far, they seem like a good way of reconnecting odd pieces of university program scattered around in my head. Maybe from scratch, they do not have enough math and overexplain some stuff. What are the usual arguments against this though?

This is some outright spooky tech. I think it is an overkill for something that could be implemented with a cart with RFID or barcode readers (or some similar tech), or even cameras but only on carts. It kind of reminds me of slapping IoT o

It appears to me that there's a catch. I think those 10x developers can't be 10x out of their domain(s). You never know as well how does each individual prepare for any particular job, how much self-education effort they are amort

Still using Windows? Still using Office (360)? Still using GitHub? These aren't maybe exactly ripe for disruption, but since all of them have existed for ages now almost without any game-changing innovation these questions are very val

So far everything I run works (with only a couple exceptions). I am really happy to see this because some remasters are not paying their due respect to the original (looking at you, WC Reforged, although it hasn't got anything to do wi

Thanks, something like that (I have seen that page though), but in a script form (which I didn't find so far). I certainly would not want to have to render a bogus map myself to extract similar images. Maybe I will just scrape it out o

Could someone lend a hand and tell me where can I find OSM Carto tiles legend? As in colors for different tag combinations? I am trying to build something that requires a custom legend.

I would rather put my effort into differentiating myself with job-related skills without having to "bite back" and "form support groups". This is what exactly I didn't like as advice in this piece.

That is not good advice at all. All it says is "it is up to you old people to put all the effort you can muster at competing with the young". Not everyone gets to look immaculate in their 60s, not everyone gets to occupy a "(

This is a less technical solution, and less profitable as consequence. It is also subtracting from software's image as magic, which again amongst other things makes it less profitable.
