The best way I've found to get around the DNS problem is to take a cheap VPS (I use Hetzner) and run a reverse proxy like Caddy. Then you VPN that VPS to the machine at your house.

The answer ranges from "basically impossible" to "trivial" depending on what layer of the OSI model you think the "current internet" exists on.

Wow!! I wouldn't have imagined they could have gotten tolerable latency while using TCP. Cool!

I don't think it's literally TCP, but you're right that it's very much TCP-like behavior. I kept having stuttering in PoE, and eventually realized that NetworkManager was doing wifi channel scans way more often than it s

We used to do this at LAN parties if people left their PCs logged in while they were sleeping. Always hilarious.

Yeah. Anecdotally I once spent a "Windows Evening" trying to figure out why a game would freeze at the controls remapping menu. Found out that Windows' own game controllers menu was experiencing the same freeze. I went so far

Gonna pitch in my anecdata: Around the timeframe you mentioned, I lost a BTRFS filesystem when I filled it up. Probably could have recovered it if I had known more, but oh well. I definitely feel the gun-shyness! However, I'd want to a

Don't let The Initiative's propaganda machine disguise it: At the end of the day the biggest coalition in the game blobbed a smaller alliance, having 10x their total characters in their fleets. Somehow this is a great victory? Doe

That's absolutely true. I guess what I was trying to imply is that process isn't working as far as the NSA is concerned.

It's pretty dishonest to play up the democracy aspect of an agency that gets its warrants from a secret court.

I doubt they end up looking much like this aside from the front wing and sidepods. Just from first glance the halo looks much too thin to have the same stability as the one from this year. The power unit regulations are also still up in the

Source? I wonder how much that's inflated by truck sales. I should re-phrase and say that 35,000 is expensive for a passenger car; The Ford Fusion and Honda Accord both start around $22,000.

$35,000 is the price of a BMW 3-series. Calling that "affordable" is being generous to the average car buyer.
