I've been wondering about this as well. Why are they using so few images? To me that is like reverse blinking: Instead of keeping your eyes open, and blinking for a short amount of time every now and then, you're walking around wi

Sorry if I jumped to conclusions here. The reason was this sentence. > Vegans will click thinking, "damn right!" Non-vegans will likely ignore it, thinking, "okay loony." The study that referred to in the article is

The point was the performance reviews aren't used to evaluate or iterate on the hiring process.

This is not a good comparison. The GP has the technician do the imaging, but the real problem is not so much getting the image, but interpreting what's on it. This is a skill that the GP has to have either way.

That's not a counter point at all. It said "Many comments ask if non-medical persons would use ultrasound should it become affordable. I think not."

@OP: I'm curious about your motivation to post here. Are you looking for feedback? Getting people to try it out? Use it? I found it interesting to read (you had me at "trainwreck"), but you also posted a lot of warning signs:

I also run into this problem when asking on SO. Even if you write in the question "I've already ruled out ... as a possible solution" you still get people trying to argue about it. I'd rather they ignore the question...

I feel like this post does nothing in terms of educating readers. It all sounds very interesting, but I didn't learn anything. It alters between putting the blame on technical limitations and ignorance, so I would have liked to see a s

Here's my list of habits for effective text editing: 1) Observe other people edit text, then judge for yourself what is effective and what isn't, then decide for yourself what to learn and what not to.

I've never heard that before. Do you maybe have a source for that? The Visual Studio compiler is way too slow for that to work on a big code base, so I highly doubt that this is true.

I don't think you recall correctly. CMake is not a build tool in that sense (invokes compiler/linker), it's a build generator. The build tool that actually has to track headers is whatever runs on the output of CMake.

I read that Blender initially didn't have undo. Saving to a file was quite fast because they used binary data. So what they did was save the scene to memory, then save again, and compute a diff for the undo queue.
