Your comment is downvoted perhaps because it sounds so cynical, but after thinking about it I agree to a certain extent. Throughout my career I've noticed the biggest pushers for more unit testing are usually middle managers who love t

10-15 years ago me and I assumed most people here viewed Google in a very positive light. At that time they seemed to be doing everything right and were somehow at the top of everything they did. Gmail was game changing, Search had no equal

No ads/no privacy/no customer service are fair game for a free service, but there's no reason why it should include no customization as well.

Data storage can't be the reason. No matter how you implement it, the storage required is peanuts compared to things like Youtube/Drive/Google Photos.

Wow, I'm surprised that I never remembered that feature existed. I wonder why they removed it, just like why they removed the insanely helpful "Cached" feature.

I'm very curious how we can attribute a threat to a particular nation state, given pretty much anything in code/IP/modus operandi/etc. can be faked by one party to look like another. I went through both links and all I f

From a purist's point a of view maybe. But as soon as it's a non-trivial DB with constraints/referential integrity/triggers/etc. it quickly become impossible to test those without an actual DB.

Same. I don't know why but there's something so intuitive and easy to use and yet so powerful about Sublime Merge's merge tool that it quickly became my favorite after having used a lot of different other tools in the past (T

I share the same sentiment. TDD is one of those things that are really nice on paper for trivial toy code like Cat extends Animal, but quickly becomes impractical and falls apart against real world problems.
