Tested it. Moved back to Brave. Wish I can hide the url field on chrome based browsers. This is the only thing that I like in Arc. In my view the problem with Arc is the UX. It is hidden and complex and as a result lacks a natural discovery

I love the Affinity Designer. Also bought the Photo suite. But if you are a serious graphic designer, all the available jobs use Adobe tools. It is a factual thing. Nowadays, I use mainly Figma (which is, again: Adobe) and wait for the next

LS is not the only solution that I use. But is a good start and limits the telemetry baked into the macOS significantly. On my Debian installs, I use Open Snitch. https://bit.ly/3t6VSCk

If we speak of street photography, I have another favorite: Rollei 35 S. But it is usable only for zone focusing. Hassies are cool, but SL66 is a workhorse which is unbeatable. For medium format street scenarios, twin-lens Rolleis are light

Since 2014 I don't trust my macs. There is no Apple computer without LS installed on in my company. Actually, if LS is not available, I will not use Apple computers at all. Period.

I have a serious camera collection. Rolleis, Hassies, Nikons, you name it. You can take my IIIf and M3 only from my cold hands. The shooting experience with 35 mm film loaded on those mechanical marvels is something else. It is refreshing a

Affinity cursor and formatting tooltips are cool. Sadly, only for macOS. I am a long time Apple user, but knowing Apple's direction, cannot invest in software made only for macOS. Obsidian gives me everything I need, and mostly a multi

There is no sane technologically educated person who will buy Apple or Google phone. It is obvious that the smartphones are data gathering and control tools for the surveillance economy. Degoogled smartphone with limited usage is the safest

My practical advice: Plan for your future from a blank state of mind. Reduce all unnecessary expenses, invest into more self-sufficient survival. The race between semi-pros and professionals is marketing driven, same applies in AI situation

For me, this article comes around more as a designer-influencer production than a form of deep insight. He writes polarizing content and converts the reaction to "his own service for designers portfolios". Regularly. >One asks

Wow. I still have a license for NNW. Good for them to promote RSS. Will give it a spin:) Thanks for not binding the download only to Apple Store. The only gripe that I had with NNW is the lack of keyboard shortcuts customization.:)

Yep. I am sure about this. But I like something that is fast and responsive and can use my extreme amount of RAM available. But we know how things are. The designer rage will fade away eventually and things will be the same.:) Designers are

>The competition is stuck with gluing on new features, on an already multi-decade old tool. Wrong: 1000 + Figma plugins add functionality/new features for free. The Sketch UX is not so different.

Check the new Sketch versions. They have moved forward. The app is snappy and you have browser integration for comments and handoff. Using one app for all your design needs in my personal view is limiting. There are a lot of prototyping too

What is special about Figma? Collaboration. Community. Nothing more. They started as an Illustrator clone, than moved to copy Sketch functionality. Then COVID happened. Check the stats. A lot of teams before that used it because it was free

A controversial viewpoint: Figma is selling the user data - labeled design, all for training the next big AI killer app - prompt generated UI/UX design. Google had an interest, but Adobe upped the offer. Yes, I know this will be downvo
