I found "Rational Choice in an Uncertain World: The Psychology of Judgement and Decision Making" by Reid Hastie and Robyn M. Dawes very good on this topic. I read the first edition, but I believe there is a 2nd one now.

I'm not using any their products, but I believe they are known for providing an alternative to yubikeys. EDIT: actually, it seems that Purism's Librem key is (was?) based on the Nitrokey.

Depends a lot on the country. In France for instance, cheques are still very common, albeit less than before COVID.

But for the cost, couldn't (for instance) a 16nm fab produce 90nm chips? If not, how complex would it be to "port" an existing 90nm chip, to produce a 16nm revision? Impossible, or quite easy but not cost effective? From the

Yes, and yet take time to think about it for yourself before researching what already exists. For it is far easier to imagine something original before knowing how others approach the subject than afterward.

In french, "je suis charrette" can be slang for "I am overloaded (with work)", in the same way as "I am on charrette" that the article mentions.
