This is untrue. Yes there are specialized tools, even some per manufacturer, but in reality 95% of the jobs people will be doing can be done with a standard mechanics toolset.

Does emails count as "in writing" - I have emails from the CEO that I will be paid out in July (after being told I'd be paid out in April) but nothing is signed, etc.

My separation agreement clearly states the company will buy back all stock options. My Stock option agreement says I have 90 days to exercise. Also, I can't afford a lawyer, I'm unexpectedly unemployed.

Luckily I am based in the US, but I am unable to travel (for personal reasons) which is also an interview dead-end for a lot of companies that want you to come spend a week for initiation and meet up a few times a year.
