Agreed. Incidentally, the game Planetary Annihilation uses kinetic bombardment as a game mechanic, and it's pretty cool. Also terrifying.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think that treating software as dichotomous with "hard tech" (instead of orthogonal) is a profound mistake that really proliferates, not just through VCs, not just through the industry, but through our en

Ha that calculator was amusing to play with. Evidently my dinner last night (stir fry that I cooked at home) was 1250ish calories. Good thing I don't need to worry about scurvy! https://i.imgur.com/oxVBEgi.png

To your first point: I agree that it's not the key format that's the problem with forwarding -- so, you could use a PGP key definition for a different message format that worked better, and as long as you ignored all of the extr

Keybase is definitely working on creating a trust bridge between physical identity and (a specific type of) digital identity. Whether they've managed to do it in a scalable, business-sustainable way remains to be seen. Let me be clear:

Using social engineering to bypass this is a big enough issue that even the FTC has a blog post about it [1]. It's happened to popular Youtube producer H3H3 (even with a pin) [2]. Fusion did a thing about it at DefCon this year as well

My understanding is that it's a little bit more grey than that. Modification of signals with an intent to obscure the content of the transmission is explicitly forbidden. But obfuscation for other reasons is not expressly forbidden.

The relationship between drag and lift is complicated. They're ultimately both the same phenomenon: pressure differentials introduced by dynamic fluid flow. You cannot have lift without drag, and you cannot have drag without lift [1].
