But virtual HN karma points are so juicy! /s Sometimes HN can do this or turn simple topics into some crazy meta stuff… I’m telling you so many times some comments look like what I will find in a parody of HN and/or bring no real

Honest question: How is Telegram better than Signal? Is Signal not the best in term of security and privacy?

For people looking for an in depth simulation game you should try Capitalism Lab [1]. Just to warn you the graphics looks super old (and personally I like it) but like all games like that the best is not in the graphics but what’s behind th

Being French I can tell you we really discourage it because we don’t have just one region but several! You have Corsica who wants to be independent, Alsace who wants to be independent or linked to Germany and sometimes Basque linked with th

No at the end you end up having to learn all their classes, for almost no gain in speed of dev, and then you forget how to do stuff in CSS. For me Tailwind barely make it anything faster but I have to learn all their classes and then I am s

Same. The biggest point that I didn’t see in comments so far is that Leet Code exercices are really fast to evaluate and it accelerates the pipeline for filtering and hiring. Even a recruiter can “evaluate” them. Just looking at the code mo

Now I have no idea why I’m being downvoted here… Can someone tell me? I truly meant what I said without any form of sarcasm or malice. It was just a small comment to encourage him to share more even things he may consider small or not that

As a writing side note since you talk about story telling. No need to place parentheses here. I enjoy reading your own comment and anything you have to say can be interesting too :)

Same. Next whatever startup or what I will do will be done in TypeScript(/JS) for the back end and front end. The ecosystem is so massive. And most of the time people will do a library, tool, database, or whatever, and the next languag

There has been effort to be able to use Swift for the backend but it’s not taking off. I like the language for sure. Maybe people prefer to go all in performance by taking Rust?

Pulumi looks really promising. Finally we have some real IaC and not some IaData. Good job for what you guys have accomplished so far! Is there any plan to add libs for the Elastic stack?

One (big) limitation though with Terraform CDK is that it's limited to AWS only. Pulumi gives you access to more than 60 providers. Also testing which a big step forward for Iaac.

For the language check out Reason. It looks even better! It’s almost like Ocaml but for made JS, React and stuff. You can use Ocaml modules with it by the way. Since it’s all based on Ocaml https://reasonml.github.io/
