Anecdotal, sure, but I find about 9 in 10 trains are online and boardable. Frankston and Werribee lines, off peak. I hope the new lines that will bypass the city will help decongestion the network.

The state of the game does not have to be what you would physically see as a player. Generally, you do not model the state space as a graph, but model the state as a data structure. To make the Markov property apply, you just need to add th

I disagree. Caring for "your" people is very much part of human nature. Where you draw the line can change (examples are blood, race, hometown, city, region, nation, continent, family etc), but "us vs them" it is an over

Saying that you intuitively do not understand XYZ often requires intellectual honesty as well as understanding it rigorously, even more so in academia. So saying that you intuitively do not understand XYZ can be used as a signal.

I don't think it will work well unless you have several actors. IIRC, one of the main factors giving A3C an edge compared to previous solutions, is that multiple learners from different episodes contribute experience at the same time.

In particular, people don't like to feel they are wasting time. Walking being a "necessary" step, doesn't feel like a waste of time.

Additionally, carbs can be more difficult to absorb if they are mixed with fibres. Sugars in apples are an example.

I know it's being used to decide where to place random controls in LA airport, day to day. If the controls were in the same locations, the bad guys would just avoid them, but you don't want the completely random either because som

The missile was clearly a message. According to the CNN journalist that talked about it, who is in NK, this is the response to the "fire and fury" threat by Trump.

I get the math, but the reasoning feels unjustified: why should we assume our brains work that way? It would make sense if we remembered the same amount of stuff every year, but reality is, you have fewer memories of the past. I am on the &

You misunderstand. The parent meant that the amount is infinite, so the property that eventually every state will happen is no longer there.

Social media can become mass media, and it's not up to you to decide if and when that happens. In the past, you could just vocalise your opinion, and it would not survive many hops in the real-world social network. So yeah, you can exp

I installed algo a couple of weeks ago on a server behind an external firewall. I managed to make it work by opening ports 500 and 4500. Maybe that works for you, too. By the way, is it possible to have all hosts connected to reach each oth
