Did the "community" make death threats? I didn't see any, and I don't think the average redditor would approve those. There will be death threats in almost any large-scale, heated discussion. The typical upvoted comments

My assumption was that the margins drivers will have will be small due to competition. Not sure if Uber's margins are currently small or not.

I noticed a huge difference with this site: http://www.2ality.com/2015/02/es6-classes-final.html In the previous Firefox version scrolling on that site was laggy to the point of being unusuable for some reason.

While it's probably joke, JavaScript's Array is fine (although it's more like a 'vector'). JavaScript VMs implement it as a real array (in fact, plain objects are often optimized into arrays too).

You can use the -a parameter with git commit to make it work somewhat similar to Mercurial.

This might be one reason why interest rates are typically not static in Europe. They have a static interest margin, though. The "weird" thing is that the interest margin is low when the economy is doing well but high when the econ

Yes, ZeroMQ is brokeless. However, you can implement a broker with ZeroMQ. In addition, it should be noted that ZeroMQ buffers messages when the connection is disconnected.

Well, broadly speaking feminists tend to agree with these Title IX "inquisitions". Her declaring to be a feminist doesn't really mean that feminists tend to agree with her.

Npm/browserify will load only one copy of jQuery if the semvers match. The only "problem" with that is that if you get duplicates, npm doesn't report these out of the box. It's rather easy to write a script to detec

Humans typically can't comprehend 500 MiB of data in a chart well, so the large data set is mapped into a smaller data set for visualization.

The typical solution is to map the data into a smaller data set in the backend, so you don't need to send 100k points to the browser.

You can get "shit done and ship" with practically any technology choice. Ironically, there's probably some other startup which has a similar question, but filters out everyone who is happy to use e.g. PHP.

Sexist stereotypes are not obvious, even when they're about men. Anyway, the parent comment said "were in charge", and didn't mention gender balance.

You can write the library/addon in C and then define the bindings with JavaScript using various npm libraries. There's no need for C++. Here's an example of such a wrapper over a C library: https://github.com/

I live in Europe and while I can get around without a car, owning a car improves my standard of living quite a lot. I guess the point is "I live in Europe" says nothing about how easy it's to get by without owning a car.
