Or maybe a navigation system that has a bit of personality. I feel like they've remained robotic while companies try to inject a personality into their personal assistant counterparts.

Amusing how we let go of some technological item to suddenly re-discover the world. When I gave up smartphones for a period of time I found myself wondering what I could do to spend the time on my ~1hr commute home. I remember being excited

For almost a year I personally used a “dumb phone”. I believe it was a ZTE from one of the telco providers. It actually wasn’t terribly dumb, it did have a text based web browser that allowed me to read some lightweight sites, especially BB

How does one go from online marketing to an engineer at a big data company, earning $180,000 a year? Was he just that good at marketing himself?

I'd especially love this when working remotely at cafes/busy shared spaces. Being able to tune in and hear someone better if they're in front of me or speaking directly at me or blocking out background noise.

I recently made the switch to using ParcelJS [1]. Came from a browserify + rework + npm run scripts setup and wanted something with 0 configuration for my projects. Parcel's been that for me. Disclaimer: I'm not a serious webapp d

With 85% of your userbase using adblockers, have you had to implement popups pleading users to unblock your ads or ask for donations? What initiatives have you implemented and how effective have they been in combatting what I presume to be

This a hundred times over. There seems to be a knee-jerk reaction to this being a form of censorship. I say this because that was my first impression before reading the article.

All I need now is a simple, lightweight youtube browser to find URLs to plug into youtube-dl. In fact you've helped me remember that I haven't donated in a long while.

This is a fail on my part. uMatrix reported JS as disabled but apparently after a reload, the site stopped working.

Out of curiosity, what are the hardware specs of your Chromebook? I'm running GalliumOS on a Lenovo Chromebook 11e and I'm having a bad time. Admittedly, this machine is low spec.

Personally, I've stopped bookmarking everything I find somewhat interesting. Now if I do find something and it will be used in the next week/month, it's often part of an existing project or idea, and so it gets thrown in a te

The fact that this looks as amazing as ever on my JS disabled browser is well...amazing! Would love to hear the story behind its development. That kinda CSS would be pretty tedious to write.

Wow this is great! I've grown tired of the typical agency world of billable hours and conversions. Looking forward to seeing more jobs posted across the gamut of IT. Also happy to see this working without javascript or unnecessary mark

You can only deal with the smell of stale pizza and unwashed armpits for so long. Before I completely let that lifestyle consume me, I decided to seek help and reached out to my local District Health Board. Now I am still a bit of a recluse
