I actually attempted the same thing once but gave up after a day. I borrowed the iPad from work (clients absolutely love demos on this thing) and used iSSH to connect to my netbook running ubuntu. First, I tried to create a simple mobile we

Google Apps users, is there any way to permanently get rid of that black strip on the bottom right advertising the marketplace and now, the new look?

This looks fun. Would be great in schools, even entry level Computer Science classes in Uni.

I love the look of WP7 and this phone looks decent! I don't generally use apps, preferring webapps on the mobile browser. How does WP7's browser compare to Android or iOS? I've heard some say its good, others saying its terrible. Its hard t

I've been struggling in Uni for close to 5 years now. If I don't dropout then I'll just end up wasting more and more money. It looks like this semester my University may make the decision for me and kick me out for my low grades. I know Uni

I love the design of those slides but the angled text on just a few puts me off. I don't know if its just me but I have trouble with angled text. My eyes just can't seem to focus and so it all looks like gibberish.

To be fair, it's firefox only. The Back button is broken but I don't think that was intentional.

Oh Woz, I'd wait in a line for days just to talk to you. Being a technical man, I'm surprised in how he reacted to those 'technical terms' that were mentioned. Listening to this, I felt he knew exactly what Apple was/is and strives to be. I

Yes, I've used alternative window managers. But the menu bar integration with unity is something I enjoy and would like to continue enjoying.

I'm curious. Why the 'Kiwi' in TimeKiwi? Are you based in New Zealand?

I don't care much for the track but as the environment pulsated, I found myself smiling. Simply amazing. Running perfectly on MacBook Pro 5th Gen with Google Chrome Canary (16.0.x.x).

I ran Ubuntu 11.04 on a netbook and performance was terrible. Switching to Unity 2D helped a bit but it was still struggling. Any indication 11.10 will work better? Of course I'm gonna give this a try regardless but I'd like to hear from ne

I'll have to admit, I didn't know who Dennis Ritchie was. I remember seeing his name on the Unix Haters Handbook but that was it. Noticing the black bar, I googled and now, I'm enlightened. It's a pity many will never know his name or his

sigh My poor iPhone 3G and I are completely left out. I did update OSX to make use of the new iCloud but its really no use unless you have an i-device with iCloud. I use Pages.app and was hoping I could make use of the iCloud storage feat

This is my first time witnessing onswipe. Since I don't have an iPad (or any tablet device) I opened it up in the simulator. At first glance, I felt it was fine. Clean, readable. Don't see a problem. But viewing the homepage and navigating

Just the mere fact that Obama would make a statement is touching. Did any tech leader before Steve Jobs receive such a tribute? I'm curious.

Amazing piece. I've always had this mental image of all the tech greats knowing each other personally. I presumed Tim Berners-Lee and Steve Jobs had long discussions over a cup of coffee or beer. I'm somewhat bummed that's not the case.

One of my dreams was to demo a product in front of Steve Jobs and receive his approval. That'll never be but the mere fact that a man can make me strive for success without ever having met him is a testament to his influence.

I've often been told that Linux will work well on old hardware. I can confirm this is true with distros like ArchLinux but I've never had Ubuntu run well on old hardware. A year ago I got a free PC. A P2 with 128MB of RAM. Attempted to inst

Well the site uses an ogg audio track. If you edit the code to include an mp3 source then it should work on Safari.

That name bugs me. Made worse by the fact I just re-read Crisis on Infinite Earths so my mind is full of DC goodness. Be sure not to use this under a red sun.
