Using buildah you have pretty much complete control over layers. You can mount the image in filesystem, manipulate it in as many steps as you want, and then commit it (thus explicitly create layer) when you want. On the flip side, it's

Ah, looks like you are right and indeed ESS doesn't support python, a shame. As for Julia, I think a package that is shaping up to be interesting and along the same spirit is: https://github.com/gcv/julia-snail

I have been a happy R + ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics) user for a while now. I think ESS also supports python, I have no personal experience with that though. But I can agree that whenever I am forced to use Jupyter notebooks, it feel awfull

I don't think introversion/extroversion is a useful categorisation. Because I think it boil down just to what type of people or social situation one likes/dislikes. Introverts are uncomfortable with wider spectrum of people&#

Thanks for tab. I have used it a bit in the pipeline of some of my projects. Like jq, I think tab is another good example of a DSL that allows tersely and quickly getting things done. Same as Perl I suppose, but cleaner and more functional.

From 27.1 Emacs could be configured to use a native library (jansson) for json parsing, it helped LSP a lot. And now there is a new native-comp feature, where you can AoT compile elisp bytecode to native code with libgccjit, which improves
