I don’t think you are aware of all the damage that has been done. Being unaware does not make it disappear. For you, maybe, but not for Apple.

It’s nothing to do with being overrun by an independent app store. That is a total red herring. The real issue… stay with me, it’s a lot of words… is that alternative unreviewed or poorly reviewed app distribution mechanisms open a pathway

This makes it sound like complying is supposed to be a good thing. That’s an unfounded assumption imho.

You are mistaken. Malicious apps hurt their users and hurt their brand.

But the old policy allows distribution of these apps for free and developers have the option of sticking with the old policy — so I don’t see the problem.

That’s only if the developer opts into the new needless system imposed by the EU.

Protective compliance. Not malicious. Protecting their users in as much as is possible given the ill-conceived DMA.

Are you being a bit negative? The acceleration never gets old. Never. Safety you can get somewhere else for more money (TCO) with fewer features and more problems but why? AWD that just works is something that will help anyone in the right

Just had a glance so far, but it’s great to see Apple pulling no punches in public here.

1. Buy tires 2. Follow recommended guidelines for inflation and rotations 3. Use tires until they wear down to the level where change is recommended. They have to be below a certain depth (3mm I think?) to qualify. (A problem with Costco is

Good article! Thanks. Unfortunately climate change will also decimate fish stocks. I hope the industry will find a less harmful chemical to use instead of 6PPD.

Or if you like fun… or safety… or if you need amazing AWD that blows anything else out of the water… or a bunch of other reasons. But yeah definitely charge at home or work.

Aren’t there microbes that eat the material and transform it, which is why highways aren’t lined with mounds and mounds of the stuff?

You need to ask for credit for the tread wear warranty when buying new tires. They won’t give this automatically but if you ask they should immediately do it cheerfully at a good shop. If you’re in the US, I’ve had good experience with Disc

So the next step for the criminals (the ones who steal both the passcode and phone) is to find your address (often stored in Contacts, or available in your Amazon account) then physically go there and lurk nearby while finishing their pwnin

That’s how I feel about non-Tesla EVs. Well Rivian is good, other than lack of charging network; I’d never get one due to that gap. But legacy manufacturers have burned their bridges.

I tested the position for 2 years. The cord doesn’t have to be that long. It’s not always -20 out and air gaps can be blocked with suitable materials. Not all apartments are on the third story. Second story reaches just fine with 25 foot if

You can choose an apartment that has an outlet (of your own indoors such as in the kitchen) near a sliding door or window that opens and allows a cord to reach your parking space. I didn’t say every apartment has such a setup, but choices c

If we’re going to extreme cases, even worse, the battery won’t work at all if you disconnect it or grind it into small bits. Or, you could take care of your car as recommended and if a battery preheat will help, use scheduled departure feat

Buy Tesla and only Tesla and most if not all of this is solved. However for now “not for everyone” is certainly still true in many places.

No what happened in the case on the news is a charging station was malfunctioning but did not report itself to the system as such. If it has been in operation, there would have been no problem charging in the cold.

Preheating is not an absolute necessity for charging. It is done because it helps the charge go faster.

We own three BEVs for quite some years now and no ICE cars and I drive a lot so your assumptions are wrong right at the start. You seem to be making a common mistake of thinking that one always needs to charge from empty to full in every ch
