The commenter I responded to initially wrote as if they actively seek anonymity by taking several inconvenient steps every time they shop, even when they presumably have nothing to hide. I wanted to understand what drove that behavior and i

My 2022 Model Y didn't require any calibration to use autopilot after initially picking it up. IIRC there were 7 miles on the odometer at the time.

What is your threat model? Are you buying incriminating goods at the grocery store? What do you gain by putting yourself through all that? Or what are you preventing / protecting yourself from?

I think Apple’s approach to menus is preferable - one can search and it will highlight places in the menu where the term appears. Usually I know what I want to do, I just don’t know where it’s located in the menu. For MS products I end up G
