Fair concern. On the other hand nobody uses Edge on Windows 10, do they? In my limited experience users seem to still use IE or go to Chrome or Firefox.

It is a strained metaphor. What I was trying to say is that clicking on a search result and getting a paywall instead of the content alluded to on the search page is not expected behavior to the end user.

I'd just move on. To be honest sites with those types of paywalls should not be indexed. The loophole you are taking advantage of here is a bait and switch by these sites. They want the search traffic but don't want public access.

I see this comment on every discussion regarding OpenBSD and security vulnerability embargoes. Have they stated they won't stick to embargoes or agreed to one and then broke it in the past?

I'd water that most adults in the US know one or more hard-working people who are in financial dire straits due to medical bills. It's reasonable that you don't want a single-payer system in the US but why in Earth would you

It was in the news more several years ago. They shakedown companies using Linux claiming they own various patents covering Linux technology. Microsoft made an example of TomTom who refused a licensing deal and was sued and lost over an obsc

Despite all the comments pretending this is all super ok scrapers are obviously not aboveboard. Sites may try to place limits on you or your account but it is unlikely you will go to court over a TOS violation unless you're really abus

Humans seem to have the ability to make things extinct at a much quicker rate than would happen otherwise. Due to the permanence of extinction maybe there is some worry we will cause damage to the ecosystem that can't be undone. Same t

Many of these people found success by focusing on engineering solutions instead of founding companies. Makes me instead question what we'd lose if they made that choice years ago.

Why would it upset you? This is how RMS always talks. Software freedom and the licenses that support it are what he most cares about. This is basically a religious discussion to him.
