Maybe because it's because within the three groups (cyclists, drivers, pedestrians), cyclists are the only ones who haven't got their own infrastructure. If cyclists had 90% of the road, and cars were forced to share the remaining

55mph on an ebike would be insane :) even 55kph is really really fast if you're not on perfect asphalt - the slightest pebble hitting the front wheel and it's goodbye

What are the rules where you live? In France it's either a bike if the assist is limited to 25kmh (you could go above that on a nice flat road, but the gearing usually isn't designed for it) , or a "<50cc motorcycle"

You go through the agencies that have bought in bulk. In the same way that you don’t go to a Black&Decker office to buy a drill, you get it from one of their distributors, who buy in bulk

Rail is amazing for the environment. A Marseille to Paris on the TGV emits less than 2kg of CO2 per passenger. That’s 80 times less than a plane, and 20 times less than a car! And how is this CO2 miracle achieved? Public spending on core in

I want to tax something that is very bad for the environment and fund something that is very good. The free market is great for many things, but not for core infrastructure. What’s missing in the US is a basic passenger rail infrastructure.

The solution seems quite obvious: a big tax on flights, reinvested in rail infrastructure. At some point we have to help the market find lower carbon solutions, what better way than replacing short haul flights with trains?

I’m really not sure the military did much pushing for Iraq or Afghanistan. It was the ideologues in the CIA, the Government and the media who pushed and lied till they got what they wanted

I think the praise for Half Life was the story telling. The story itself is pretty generic scifi action, but the fact that you discovered it through the player rather than a paragraph of exposition or a cutscene was pretty novel for that ge
