I'm thinking more of a smart fridge, or car app, or some other crap. I'm 99% sure a lot of them will stop going through the painful iOS process and just give you a QR code for their app

What Id say is that today anyone who wants to sell a “smart” product has to write a proper clean iOS app that gets reviewed. Tomorrow I can guarantee they will immediately cut costs and ship out piles of sideloaded garbage Sure, it’s up to

don't get too hung up on the model names. If you're looking at specific segments, the current Up is the closest to the original Polo, be it in price or features or size

Bear in mind that as each model grows (because each version has to be "better" than the last), new models are inserted at the bottom. In 1990 the Polo 2 was the smallest car VW made (375cm), the Polo 6 has the Up below it (355cm)

Which countries have you lived in? Fleecing large orgs (corporations, the government etc) is seen as a Robin Hood virtue in many if not most countries in the world.

For MacBooks? Assuming they’re five years old, which is already quite old for an enterprise fleet, we’re talking several hundred dollars per unit still. Easily worth spending time resetting them with jamf

People who work with fleets of laptops will have and admin account on each and/or use Jamf or similar, making reset trivial And if they don’t, all they need to do is contact Apple supplier with their proof of purchase

I think that’s one of the angles they miss in the article: food in the UK in the early 90s was atrocious, especially outside of London. Pizza express was at least a guarantee of a decent pizza.
