My only advice, to all programmers, is to print the following and stick it in a place where you can see it everyday: “There are only two hard problems in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things.” – Phil Karlton The variant me

Meh. The term 'Project' embodies much much more than just 'code'. A Project is made of its many components: team, community, bug trackers, documentation, resources, news feed and code (I've certainly omitted several other things). Only afte

I think that's exactly what the op meant. In other words, changing the appearance of the website won't improve its content and, I agree with him, it definitely should improve.

My experience with Gandi is quite different. I always received timely responses to my emails and I'd say their service was always in line with their "No bullshit" punchline. For more on this, read http://www.gandi.net/no-bullshit I've bee

I might be a little old school but I wouldn't seriously let a complicated system take care of schema migrations for me. Well, actually I do (in a system unrelated to Rails or Flask) and it's a mess. For my current side-project, I'm actually

It pretty much depends on the country. In Italy for example, people love to use cash (it's cultural) whereas in France people tend to use Credit Cards mostly now (it's a recent trend). In most less developed countries, Cash is still the kin

You actually got me to realize how natural it is for me to sort my bank notes. I also put older notes on the top of the stack so that they get out of it first.

This implies actually knowing Braille. Even in very developed countries, not all blind or visually deficient people know Braille. Arguably, they should be pushed toward Braille rather than left in a "comfort" zone.

Let's put it another way. What you said really upset me and I'm just totally against that kind of statement/behaviour. I'm advocating some well-thought-out censorship in that case. Those things just depend on which side of the fence you sta

For the record, Dolly was "born" in 1996. How about a good old: there are things we don't fully understand yet, let's debug some more? Dolly also died in 2003. From the Wikipedia page (take it for what it is): On 14 February 2003, Dolly was
