That PG in his opinions against the genocide stands against HN's own censorship politics (which is to protect Israel at any cost, looking at you Daniel!) is enough for me to keep going. Otherwise, I wouldn't care (I don't fig

Our metaphorical / analogical muscle is too well developed. Maybe there is a drug we can take to reduce how much we lean into it. If you look at two random patterns of characters and both contain 6s you could say they are similar (beca

The SMH did not give it way? On the SMH as a semiotic, funny how IMHO evolved into IMO and SMDH evolved into SMH. Some of us refuse to be humble or self deprecating.

Naively asking: what prevents RT Unix/Linux from being used in place of non-RT mainstream versions? Seems like a superset.

"Disaster Capitalism" strikes again. Everything is configured optimally for creating chaos and protecting profit extraction, at any cost. Legal system? Good luck with that. We are near that stage if not in it already...

Don't you need to have purchased the game before you have the right to enjoy it? How else do you prove that you have paid for the license to run the game if you don't have a copy. That was my initial interpretation.

I wish "Simple Made Easy," by Rich Hickey, could be applied here. Forth is simple but not easy. If there is something as simple as Forth but also accessible to mere mortals (aka easy) then I'd like to know what it is (I don&#

"Disaster Capitalism" comes to mind. They're trying hard to create as much chaos as possible to create as many disasters as possible so that they can establish mega corporations to take over from the government, and go full O

Nobody talking about the refrigerators in Europe. They work differently. The ice forms inside the fridge part not just the freezer part. I don't know why and have not looked into it but it is in every fridge, including brand new ones.

I wonder of you pre train on Hebrew and Arabic if it will find the similarities between the RTL writing direction. So many similar words. I guess both came from Aramaic? If so, how about the trifecta of ancient languages with Aramaic then H

The G in AGI is a big deal and it’s missing from LLMs. Anything coded by an LLM risks being under-generalised. Asking an LLM to think in a generalised way does not make it an AGI. The critical ability to generalised beyond learned patterns
