>Book a Guest Suite or day in the Makerspace through the Culdesac app and we'll handle the rest. The neighborhood has its own app? That sounds horrific.

Is it too much to hope for a postmortem of the actual hack? I always feel like my kung-fu is inferior when I see stuff like this.

Once the JVM is running, though, it's quite fast. The same cannot be said for python.

Whether users care or not is a straw man. React running in a headless instance of chrome is a webapp, plain and simple.

I mean your opening paragraph straight-up lies when you describe your product as a native application. You aren't up front about the tech details of your product, despite posting on one of the most technical sites around... Not a good

Of course it will become the norm. The same people who built today's surveillance dystopia will build this further refinement of it, because "if I don't, someone else will; might as well get paid".

It can be used as a "dumb" format and even then it's superior to e.g. markdown. The real magic requires code of course, but it doesn't have to be elisp.

I say this as a 10+-year emacs user: The "15 minute tutorial" is emblematic of everything wrong with emacs and its community. Just make CUA-compliant keybinds the default, and you'd draw in so many more users. The ideal tool

>if you want to really use it [org-mode] anywhere but inside emacs, good luck to you I wonder if org could be ported to provide a language server via lsp, and in so doing become cross-platform? Org really is a superior markup format.

I use the railwaycat fork also, and it works fine for me writing go. I don't enjoy rust so I've never tried. If you're interested, my emacs config is here: https://github.com/nathanvy/dotemacs/blob&

I only use some of the more mature ecosystems (C#, Microsoft's Python language server, golang, etc) but I've always found the performance to be good.

LSP-mode has really reinvigorated emacs, at least for me. With flycheck and a language server it's magical. Writing go, it even auto-formats your code and auto-adds imports.

Conversely, I tried running openbsd as a router on my ubiquiti edgerouter for my 950 megabit up/down connection and couldn't get even close to the performance of even the shitty ISP-provided router/ONT combo box.

I mean "attitude" makes perfect sense to those of us who actually work in aerospace. It's related to all the terms you listed but none of them are strictly equivalent. But go ahead and be snarky if it makes you feel better?
