I have gone down the same road. I settle with Intellij, Cursive is quite good and as a Vim user, I have vimidea which is pretty ok. Background: I find Vim or Emacs really slow when you develop big projects, Intellij is much more responsive

Onyx really simplifies the idea of data processing. I would recommend anyone using it, since we can integrate with another storage, and processing engine easily :)

After assessing the lib, I still prefer schema. I find that it's always more convenient that you can separate the schema and the data itself.

it seems to work great :D At the same time, this doesn't seem to work with Hackintosh Mac, since they may use different driver, headphone not detected. But it works great with my macbook :D

I just use Slate to snap window to left or right. It's not quite like tilting wm but it works quite well. I have no problem with it. And I do use Emacs, so there wouldn't any problem of splitting with those either. The only thing

Short term solution : Lead by example, a good chance that they can learn from those and maybe copy them afterward. But the code quality will improve. This can take your time but as long as you have several good examples, you can reuse those

It's not true. Some still uses it extensively in the case of editing the last commands. But there is alternative way. I am happy that they will remove this mode in the future :)
