My son (8) and I have a ton of fun playing OpenRA together! Runs surprisingly well on his old MacBook Air 11" running Manjaro and me on an M1 MacBook Pro.

I'm not sure about it being a legal requirement in all states (may be) but is generally done by the boards that oversee one's specialties (with some very vague and inconsequential requirements by the state licensing boards). Unfor

Unfortunately I will probably not take the time to help you find a source, but FWIW this was taught to me several times in medical school and is generally believed to be true by myself and many colleagues. It is one huge reason I work as a

Agreed. The community can be very welcoming, which I sincerely appreciate, but seems like it could be prone to issues similar to the recent Hyprland dev's situation. The loudly broadcasted politically-relevant values mostly align with

Interesting -- I usually wish people would RiiR because of running into segfaults that I presume would be impossible in (safe) rust, or because installing the (mostly) static binaries is often much easier than wrangling (non-wheel) Python d

You should also keep in mind that the "diagnosis" of an ear infection is often half assed / made up, mostly because it's much easier to prescribe an antibiotic (which satisfies most frustrated parents) than stop your bus

I just learned about worktree (from a recent HN post IIRC) and thought it sounded really helpful for working on multiple simultaneous tasks in nixpkgs. Unfortunately I ran into some error trying to add a second worktree. Will have to take a

My 8 year old boy loves Veloren! He'll be psyched about a new release. Trying to keep him on open source games that run on his Manjaro MacBook Air (11", 2014?). Other hits include Minecraft, SuperTux, and SuperTuxCart, 0ad, and he

Cheap NVME drives. And to be fair, 2 of 3 were only suspicious for having a hardware problem so I replaced with a larger drive (and was super nice to have such a straightforward was to expand the size as compared to ZFS).

I've been overall very happy with: - Arch on BTRFS RAID1 root, across 3 dissimilar NVME drives (about 7 years, 3 drive replacements for hardware failure, I don't think ZFS supports this configuration) - numerous low-power systems
