It’s pretty strict and won’t authenticate if I look too tired, so I think you’d have to be pretty careful about how you tape the unconscious victim’s eyes (a conscious victim would just look away from the screen) to fool it. And if someone

Not just that, but with interest rates at zero and inflation at 8.5% per year (and growing!) it is incredibly stupid to pay even a single penny of federal loan debt early, unless you have a really good need to polish your credit score. Fede

The imagery is often already captured, so if I want to give Maxar $250 I don’t see why they wouldn’t take it. Eos (iirc it’s been a while) actually let me buy some imagery, but they would only give me pictures, not actual georeferenced rast

I work in WPF, UWP, and Xamarin.Forms daily. I’m a little offended by the comment about WPF; WPF is stuck in 2006 but at least is about as polished as you can expect from a 16 year old product. Microsoft should aspire to make their other UI

I don’t think that really makes sense. There are plenty of popular/commercially successful cuisines that involve long prep times or intricate procedures. And Ethiopian cuisine doesn’t have to be super difficult to make - I took a class

Approachable meaning it doesn’t take a giant leap for an American to consume it - it isn’t bugs (ants, grasshoppers, locusts) and it isn’t raw fish. Not that there’s anything wrong with those things - Americans do in fact eat those things,

Is Ethiopian and Somali food taking off in the UK? I discovered Ethiopian cuisine a few years ago, and once you know about it it can be found in large-ish cities in the US, but the businesses all seemed like they were on the edge of collaps

Have you ever actually met or heard of a user (outside of software engineers on hacker news) that cares about this? I’d think the last 20+ years of the evolution of the internet would be clear enough evidence that: a) users don’t want choic

It seems very strange that these companies are spending so much on engineering resources. How many 750k engineers are actually producing 7x a 100k engineer? I look at companies like Google and aside from the core cash cow (ads) it seems lik

I think for people who take email seriously (e.g. have work or volunteering commitments) and don’t just use it as a receipt holder, the Inbox concept is horrifying. Most of the good features are already baked into GMail and Outlook already.
