I agreed with you on Pits but about a year ago one came to my house, no collar or tags so I kept him while trying to find owner. Which of course I never did. Shelter is about at capacity here and most of these kind of dogs are put down whic

There _may_ be other ways but in general ya, I agree. Organic small plot won't feed the world at these levels and price points. No argument. I just thought it was interesting that possibly chickens could be run on more marginal land as

The cynic is me thinks this might help explain the ethanol mandate insanity. Ethanol Mandates == Higher Food Prices == Arab Spring Scenarios.

That's not correct. We (in the US anyway) feed a massive quantity of unspent (not brewery mash for example) grains when finishing cattle in feedlots. Corn, barley, milo, soybeans etc along with harvested forages like alfalfa and sorghu

It's possible to graze chickens. They will eat grass (along with insects and anything else they find). Search Joel Salatin for more info. He has a number of sustainable local systems for chickens, pigs etc.

I don't know the history or theory behind this and so don't know if this book is the Bates method proper but Bates advocated looking at the sun with open eyes? If so ya, that could be dangerous.

I don't know if this is the Bates method exactly but it worked very well in my case. It didn't take long either. Maybe 10-15 sessions and I was back reading small print on labels. And could clearly make out each character and thus

I refused to get reading glasses when I started having trouble reading small labels some years ago. I blamed the problem on computers and that might have something to do with it but probably mostly age. Instead I got this book: https:/
