Cool! This seems very similar to what Neuralink hopes to build out, aside from some technical details

I agree. This work is incredibly cool scientifically but this seems too dangerous to pursue further

They put it in a pig brain and can use neural signals to predict the pigs behavior - that's major progress

It's hard to build a model of a system without observing it - perhaps a reason we don't know how to decode neural signals yet is that we didn't have a way to read them. I'm sure that this vastly improved sensor will lead

That's not fair. It's like claiming that airbnb hosts spend 500k to earn 100 dollars a night. Most people own cars anyways, this is an opportunity for them to make money off of that investment.

It is incredible how wrong this man is. He predicted a 20 year long stock market crisis and it ended in 3 months.

That's thankfully far out of distribution. Why doesn't Tesla get more slack for incidents like this? Uber had to shut down its self-driving lab for almost a year when one of its vehicles failed and killed a pedestrian.

This is obviously not meant to be a real game engine. It shows that GANs can learn not only images but transitions between images given some action, which means they can be used as simulators. See world-models which used VAEs https:/&
