It isn't a myth. I've seen examples of recently created Cordova apps that feel like broken web pages, not real mobile applications. I suppose it would be possible to make one that isn't bad, but that seems like more effort th

> Cordova It's usually pretty easy to tell Cordova apps from native apps. The quality is wildly different and they tend to "feel" wrong, even to users who aren't super technical. I would never recommend that route unl

True, it has something like that (which works to varying levels of success depending on the project). The excuse for not fixing weird syntax oddities like this though is breaking source compatibility, which my point was tooling should solve

When I bought Autopilot I asked about taking it to another Tesla if I bought one, and was told it belonged to the car. Meaning when I sell the vehicle I assumed I could advertise that I was selling Autopilot with it. Tesla is 100% in the wr

I agree that it feels like the language maintainers are backed into corners and cannot correct old mistakes. Which feels strange coming from Apple. Google showed up to use this with Go, write a tool that updates the code from version "

It's fake news pretending to be real news. All social media platforms should do a better job blocking disinformation like this. That said, all they need to do is delete the fake news Twitter asked them to, yet they won't. Why?

I don't find it strange actually, it's what I expect out of the current crop of conservatives in the US. It's frightening but it is where we are.

Not really, only iOS 14 allows the user to select a different browser as the default - and it does so in some severely limiting ways: - It isn't actually that browser rendering anything, it's Safari under the covers (though Chrome

Isn't the same true of Safari? It seems most of the complaints leveled at Google around Android are as bad in the Apple ecosystem.
