I don't have a better link/reference, but the following shows that threading is a desired feature within the Matrix network and ecosystem: https://matrix.org/blog/posts#a-thread-for-next-time So, who knows, m

Agreed i'm not interested in "ever-growing"...not for a distro nor a gov...but i am interested in an evolving one for the better - i.e. improve effectiveness, and reduce bloat if it adds nothing of value. ;-)

I agree with you that Google wants to lock users into their ecosystem. Separetly, i think @brnt is 100% correct; an app password should do the trick for you. Well, at least for now...because @brnt said it best with the following: "...

To clarify, my comment about non-cooperative chat systems was in reference to MS Teams, Slack, etc. I didn't bring up XMPP. XMPP *might have* been an ok universal protocol to standardize on, but many players (like Google et al) took th

I see it similarly! A team should leverage only what helps it, and no more. In fact, i have quoted to teams (that are thinking how to adopt agile, scrum, whatever) some lines from Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do: "...I hope to free my f

Many, many businesses have mailing lists with very high numbers (e.g. hundreds of thousands, or even millions of valid, double-opted-in recipients, etc.)...so needing to send out 20k emails per hour is pretty easy.
