Github for Mac is much easier to use than the Git CLI. Something similar to Linux would be great so I don't have to explain the weird Git commands to everyone who wants to do a quick contribution.

I don't see the connection. The Linux kernel being under GPL means manufacturers had to release source code for their devices. Where does the userspace come in? Do OpenWRT and the like even use GNU userspace tools? I would assume they use B

Funny. People criticize PHP the language and the PHP fanboys retort by praising PHP the platform. Jeff Atwood more or less said that we should provide the platform advantages of PHP in other languages in order to steer new developers there.

Yes, but the warning message appears only for unsigned apps, not for signed apps outside of the Mac App Store. The article is misleading.

The post claims that Mountain Lion will by default only allow apps from the Mac App Store, where Apple takes a 30% cut. That is not true — Mountain Lion also allows signed apps by default, and getting a certificate for signing is free.
