- aurelius 13y agoAnd I, for one, am glad.
- Touche 13y agoWhy? You like running old software?
- tedunangst 13y agoIs there something broken with make 3.81?
- treerex 13y agoWhat's wrong with old software. If it works, why change? Just because something is "new" and "cool"? C'mon.
- alextingle 13y agoAh, I was wondering why the major version number had changed.
- adestefan 13y ago3.82 was also GPLv3.
- nonchalance 13y agoOSX ships with 3.81: $ make --version GNU Make 3.81 Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This program built for i386-apple-darwin11.3.0 (which predates GPLv3)
- adestefan 13y agoYes. I was pointing out that GPLv3 is not unique to make 4.0. In fact, 3.91 will never be default on OS X because it too is GPLv3.
