Go buy an M1 machine, use it for a week, and return it. Except you won't return it, because you'll recognize it's amazing beyond its benchmarks. And single core performance can't be discounted - turns out, it's ofte

Hah, I love the idea of doing this. Detect a bot, change the price and put a big banner up that says “hey, human, click here to pay $40 instead of $4000”. Only works once or twice before bots would catch on and check the price, but I bet a

Think of it this way: the two cars (if they’re the same weight) create a virtual immovable object at the impact point. “Brick wall” is doing a lot of work there - note that it’s not the same as hitting a stationary car at 50mph, that car wo

https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisional-COVID-19-Deaths-Focus-... indicates 347 Covid deaths in the 0-4yo category, since Jan 2020. Out of a population of around 16M in the US, ignoring churn in that category.

Certainly, no disagreement there. What I propose is that we avoid being cavalier about the implications of creating law. Using the force of government is, or should be, a serious affair, and I think we water it down by using language like “

By that logic, I can refuse to follow this law without consequence? Sounds to me like my options are to comply, pay fines until I can’t and then comply, or go to jail (which would be done at gunpoint). What am I missing? What’s the magic wa

Apple’s chargers have long been known as over-engineered in safety and reliability, e.g. not catching fire, dealing with “dirty” power better than most, etc. Look up Big Clive’s videos on them.

There are severe market stability issues associated with people gravitating towards <1 year holdings. The cap gains rate exists partially to encourage long-ish holdings. With that incentive severely reduced as your plan proposes, you’ll

Overall, these two changes would incentivize holding stocks <1 year more often than people do currently. Perhaps you could get a longer-term effect if you had another, lower tax level at 5+ years, or raised moderately the 1+ year cap g

“Brake pad dust” is pretty specific. I wonder if tire emissions are true. One on hand, EVs tend to be heavier. On the other, efficient braking inside the regen zone should mean more gradual stops, lower average accelerations and speeds.
