+1 Thinkpad+Fedora user here... things have never been better. I'd also try out an XPS-13 if I could afford it; but my $300 second-hand x230 works like a charm for now.

I'm never really sure how I feel about Geohot. I know for sure I liked people like him a lot more when I was younger and thought that everything was within close reach. I hope that he keeps on winning... maybe it will inspire youngster

Is Fedora an option? I'm not sure if it will solve your problems in particular... but it's been working beautifully on my Thinkpad.

Yeah. I find it really interesting that people of their status would not take more precautions to ensure the privacy of their conversations.

I'm curious to know what messaging platform did they used? Also, were they aware that any communication via the platform would be monitored?

Assuming that you have a private DNS server, with HTTPS they'll only know that you visited an IP that points to xHamster... your browser only requests for a path after a secure connection is established. ( http://stackoverflo

I don't think that's the problem in this case. While E.Africa has lots of problems with corruption, I don't think there's an insufficient number of qualified teachers. It's not clear why they wouldn't try and h

I agree. Developers often assume that everyone has the latest flagship laptop. A large majority, particularly in developing countries, only have access to $200-$400 laptops that struggle at running modern applications. We either have to foc

+1. Running linux here. It would be really cool if I could test this out. Edit: Found that the core is on github ( https://github.com/fogleman/primitive ). All you need is go to run it.

I'd be curious to hear more of your argument. The world is a complex place. How do you protect the one's you love when others exist who wouldn't say no?

I'll agree with you on firewall-cmd. One major problem is its documentation. They should initially provide really simple instructions on getting a base firewall (22,443,80) going... And then provide instructions on how to do zoning and

I weaned myself off other editors by using vim for thought-intensive programming. When most of your time is spent trying to come up with efficient solutions to your problems, spending a little time learning more about vim isn't so bad.
