Very interesting! This is the first I've heard of their new launch vehicle. I'm guessing Spacex et al are trying to build something more economical for Mars missions?

What do you mean when you say the itemization was incorrect? Do you mean that the prices that they list were incorrect, or that the items didn't make sense given the treatment you received? In either case, what reference do you use to

I should probably do the research for myself, but is there a simple explanation for why it's easier to allow importation from Canada than to lower domestic prices in the US?

You don't have to give the app access to your contacts... at least on iOS. That's what I do. It would be impossible to communicate with friends and family otherwise. I just have to put a little more effort into figuring out who&#x

I like this quote from theregister’s take on the story: > "I think this presents the UK government with an interesting dilemma - the HCSEC was set up essentially because of concerns about threats from the Chinese state to UK CNI (cr

Seems like a cool idea... and I'm curious to see if it turns into something as interesting as the Zachtronics games. However, I found it hard (in the first minute or so with the game) to figure out what the objective was. I'm also

They're really cagey about it though: > Portal does not have Facebook ads at this time. Some third-party services on Portal (e.g., music partners) may embed ads in their content in the same way they do when providing their services

My biggest issue (that users will find hard to ignore) is the lag. The new UI loads noticeably slower... And I don't feel like it's giving me anything useful to compensate for the lag.

The biggest factor is that each generation of the Pi has gotten a better processor (700Mhz single-core in the original Pi to a 1.4Ghz quad-core in the 3B+). There are also a number of detailed benchmarks out there if you bother to Google it

I second that. I deleted my Flickr account after it became apparent that Yahoo was in no way committed to security. I've planning to let go of Instagram too... Tried Unsplash... But found that it didn't have the features that make

This is cool, and if I had the time I'd want to do something like this for automatically generating a google-photos style site from my Pictures directory. Also, if you're looking for a stable Python-based static site generator...

Instagram is headed in the same way. The main feed used to be a simple linear progression of pleasing photos from only the people you chose to follow. Now they have all sorts of things cluttering the feed besides just Ads... Recommended P

I have to agree that the questions could have been better. For instance, they asked "Does this interface look trustworthy". What does that even mean? I believe it's trustworthy because it's open source and backed by Mozi

Sounds awesome! I'm pretty happy with Thunderbird as is, but a modern interface potentially means more users... and hopefully as a result, a longer life. Here's a quick link to the survey: https://thunderbird-design.typ
