In my experience this is just too big of a prompt to give it. The best way to use it is to make everything as atomic as possible. Ask it for one function at a time, rather than "make my app handle user auth"

Have built multiple MVP-scale node web apps, python scripts and two native iOS apps with it, not having known the languages beforehand. The only skill I brought to the table was app architecture. It's not just hype.

> he saw that they were a monoculture That's some retconning. He felt slighted by Apple one too many times with App Store woes and decided to change his entire company to not be dependent on Apple products. But obviously that would

Making it "appear human" is an input heuristic. I don't want to have to know some special syntax to work with it. It's a novel feature, not a problem.

I appreciate your willingness to try to salvage the situation, but the best thing for all parties in scenarios like this is to transition them out. I liked to use GWC for all employees: - do they "get it"? - do they want it? - do

Open sourcing something like this feels like marketing more than anything else. They suffer from the same "cold start" problem that social apps do. For the project to thrive, there needs to be an existing fanbase to improve and su

This is how all modern software should be made. Optimizing for 1M concurrent users, paying down tech debt, refactoring, and testing are all things that engineers love to cite that will somehow make everything better. The customer won't

This is the best answer. Any techie will desperately try to come up with a tech solution to this problem. A few months of development later, you might have something that yields trustworthy output. But 16 hours? No tech solution will be don

I'm not sure what your point is. Big, heavy laptops are heavy, so they should be desktops? I've got great news: guess who makes the lightest laptops in the world? Know why they're so light? Vertical integration. As an aside,

Sure. But would you say your usage of a laptop is the typical use case? Using it as a permanent desktop? If you were going to design a laptop from scratch for a market, would you optimize it for your example?

Why is limited hardware choice a drawback? Like is anyone wishing they had an Intel chip in their MacBook instead of an M3? I "choose" longer battery life, and maximal computing load, both of which are only really optimizable when

Eh. It feels similar in spirit to telling a depressed person to "just think positively." Many people are on an OS they hate not because they choose to be.

Wait, an entire mainline for a country can do 10Gb/s and people somehow are paying for gigabit home Ethernet? Either the former is understated, or the latter is way overkill. Or, I'm misunderstanding. Which is probably the most li
