As long as used cars exist the ship will never have sailed.

I don't know or care if "it's a thing anymore", there's an inexhaustible supply of existing cars with double DIN. My Subaru from 2017 has double DIN and I don't see any reason to own a more modern car than that

A good way to spot someone you can safely ignore is when they say "X could trivially Y" in regards to a Y you know is extremely non-trivial.

Youtube does crack down on them, all the time. Why do you think they are "important"? What are they contributing, and to whom? How does Google benefit?

Virtually all of the content I watch on youtube does not fall into this category. The content I watch is a mixture of raw footage, a guy speaking to a camera with minimal editing for 10 minutes (think Rick Beato, for those who know him), ed

You seem to be confusing what is legally/contractually required with what is fair. Fairness, in general, isn't defined by law or contracts, although some laws try to codify it.

This has the same vibe as "if netflix cracks down on password sharing they'll lose revenue!" Which, obviously, didn't happen. Cutting out abuse at the expense of harming low-value users is always a good bet.

I turn off my work Mac on the weekends because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it shut the fuck up. If I close the lid I still hear email, calendar and slack notifications. If I explicitly put it to sleep I still hear not

Maybe instead of leaving drive by comments like this you can explain this to the overwhelming majority of people in this thread who think it's bananas.

Even 2mbps would be on the extremely high side. I doubt many mainstream games, if any, use this kind of bandwidth. Excluding games that stream video of course. A 6v6 game of Forged Alliance (12 players each moving hundreds of units around,

It's a ludicrous amount of bandwidth even for a 1,000 player game, and a strong indicator that this developer is doing something very wrong.

Americans are given the right to bear arms so they can overthrow a tyrannical government. Doesn't mean the government has to sit there and take it. And it certainly doesn't mean you can shoot cops and get away with it.
