A couple of reasons for me to run it: - time machine - photos.app backup (have photos.app download local copies of your iCloud photos library, backup the photos.app files) - build server for ios/ipados/macos apps

if anything should come out of this is that car manufacturers need to come up with a way so it's not this dead simple to steal cars. And it is not that hard. They already have all the tech ready with good security systems. but you know

> Why do you assume something like that? This is very easy to answer. Just look up what all the responses were, for all the times this kind of stuff was proposed.

They specifically mention: lidarr is connected to sabnzbd. They add 'to download music I bought' but I find that very hard to believe. Since when do sites like band camp etc expose your bought library over usenet?

I totally agree with you. But the OP comment was not that, it was hinting at the fact it would always be used, as they did not add 'in the free tier only' to it. So while restating the obvious in these cases is very good, it'

Please dont stop documenting code because of tokens used. comments are meant to be read by developers, not machines. Simply dont feed the comments to the machine if you worry about tokens. trust me, the future you will thank you

I fear for the coming 2 to 3 generation of software engineers. Will they be able to handle problems if the AI is not available or is the source of the problem? Only time will tell.

The end user is _NOT_ forced to buy into their ecosystem though. There are alternatives, and depending on where on this globe you ask, apple is not even the one with the biggest marketshare. So while I'm not against the general outcry

A lot of consumer connections do indeed provide ipv6. But some are unstable, some change addresses every X days, some have weird routing etc etc.

No, it wouldn't Because it also means your battery drains 5% faster, it gets hotter, you will need to upgrade your media player device etc etc etc. Seen on the scale of the actual deployment, this is HUGE.

this is true for the IR based harmony remotes. But they also have hub based systems where the hub blasts the commands (over IR or BT) and the remote talks to the hub using RF or BT. No need to point at things.

I hate to be that guy but how on earth do you have a "high-end" system (your words) that does all this? Sure, there is some boot up time to warm everything up, but there are no ads and no user agreements etc on mid to high end sys
