This is the kind of environment that leads to the creation of vigilante brigades and mafia-style syndicates.

I still think the Pro 2 is a better compromise, esp. when you consider the price difference these days. You can get an i5 128GB for around 1/2 the price of the Pro 3 i7. The i5 doesn't get hot, too.

Yep but all these checks don't necessarily need to happen at runtime. A clever enough compiler can optimise all of it (or most of it) at compile time. In general this is a very hard problem but for something static enough (like a simpl

SBCL is a compiled Common LISP (even in interpreted mode, it compiles every eval-ed lambda before calling it). On the other hand there is nothing inherently stopping the optimiser from optimising the resulting code as well or better than GC

This is why security minded apps will log you off all the time. It's not to annoy you, it's because the session security model is just not safe in a computer that may be running untrusted applications. You're responsible of t

I haven't followed anything about the IPO, but if it was about their early success in China, it was all about: - the rampant piracy and counterfeit market - cheap novelty gadgets made on Asian sweatshops (+ knock-offs) - abuse of duty

You can also add a few template document files, and maybe ads at the bottom to make some money off it because it can take off and your server may get a good hammering.

> Not all PEGs and absolutely not all recursive descent parsers are packrats. Of course not, see the link I posted. PEGs are TDPL and recursive descent (not the other way around), and an alternative to CFGs. PEGs were coined by Bryan For

Both are based in Bryan Ford's packrat (PEG is Ford's too). OMeta is more like PEGTL in that it's a set of facilities/library at a highish level, more than a particular grammar system (they're all packrat parsers).
