Why concentrate power at all? How about we disperse the power, so that the power one has diminishes outside his nation city (size of which is determined approximately by how much one can move in a day). And limit power so that you cannot cu

I wanted to give you feedback that there is no feedback mechanism on the right side of the page but ironically you don't give the user opportunity to apply your product to your own site.

I'm not so sure that in FP communities recursive call based algorithms are thought of as elegant solution; rather higher abstractions are desirable (e.g. map, filter, fold, etc)

No, it isn't. I was a Scala enthusiast but experience has taught me to like Java and its maturity and dislike Scala's unstable complexity (maybe it's more stable now than back when I was onboard) but the language by design em

The awkward right panel that changed abruptly from time to time, especially the first transition, made me skip the content. Using a non-common ui idiom is risky. The presentation and topic don't match in a way that reader (i.e. me) had

You don't really know IntelliJ if you think that behaviour like that wasn't configurable. I can see why you wouldn't feel like paying. It might take a person who has put some real time into IntelliJ to see how much it offers.

What I meant is that if I needed to switch from Java to a language that is oriented towards functional style, I would not consider Scala -- not because it wouldn't be a good choice regarding FP (I'll leave arguing about how well a

Just a quick comment: If I wanted to embrace functional programming, I would skip Scala and goto Haskell, ML, or Clojure. And if I cared, I should really dig deep into this subject (tool vs. language). Scala just doesn't fit my needs.

I would use Java 7 rather than Scala in production environment. There are different reasons, some actually concern language features but one of the biggest is IntelliJ's capability as Java IDE. It blows away all of the other alternativ
