That site looks like it is aimed at physical products ("model", "manufacture") rather than software. Physical products are much easier to knock off than evolving, quality software; so IP protection and the like are probably more important.

An area where I suspect IDEs could be helpful even in higher-level languages would be for TDD. In my limited experience, I have found TDD to involve a lot of "plumbing" that a computer could easily do for me. It would be nice to write a tes
