Yep, I've also read the linked article and for me the summary is more like "HET motor has some interesting ideas, some difficulties, some claims are incorrect and it's probably a bit difficult to manufacture."

Yes, for me the solution was to stop thinking about search problems as a deterministic problems with a solution that can be (easily) found. It’s a very complex domain space, google still improves their search, with many people working on th

Additionally, roads can be designed in a way that calms vehicle movement instead of accelerate-brake cycle. For example, narrower roads with curves instead of wide straight roads with speed bumps near pedestrian crossings.

arXiv has bulk dumps that anyone can S3. They aren't updated every day, not even every month, but still they have it. I used it myself.

They probably mean administration of a peer review. Someone has to find a suitable reviewer, which can be a bit time-consuming task [1], write to reviewers, just do all the coordination. [1] There are now tools that automate and speed up fi

The site was born many years ago with something like 6 entries and the HoMM3 recreation from OP (VCMI) was one of those first entries, if my memory serves me correctly.

Sure, they would apply to all pickups. You can find videos of EuroNCAP tests for VW Amarok, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200, Ford Ranger and some other trucks. However, I couldn’t find anything about Cybertruck competitors like Ford F150. Gue

I've previously used some ORM-based migration tools, like Django ORM migrations (and when it was a separate tool, South), looked at others like Alembic. What I found is that they automate simplest cases, in turn making more complex cas

Desalination research isn't pre-published on arXiv. There are ~300 articles on arXiv where desalination is mentioned, and ~18-20k articles in the world. There is even a journal called "Desalination". I've found 64 articl

Local variables aren’t stored in a dict, likewise when a class has defined __slots__. Globals, modules and usual classes do use dicts internally, but locals do not. So from the efficiency standpoint it’s (almost?) the same. I haven’t checke

How much does this affect an aircraft range? I assume the mechanism is that lighter aircraft needs less lift, and less lift means less drag, less drag - less power on the engines - less fuel consumption - more range. I somehow always though

1 kW/kg for electric motors looks a bit on the low side for me. Tesla Model S with the highest power rating has 581 kW, and I don't think that its motors weigh in for more than half a ton combined. I've found a statement that

And there is a whole lot of people who don't know C inside out and don't want to dive in it. One needs to explicitly manage memory, deal with raw pointers, ugly header files and all that stuff. No interfaces, too.
