+1, the recovery code shouldn't go out in plain text email. Also, I picked a weak password just to quickly make an account and I can't seem to change it, hmmm.

I'm actually more excited about David joining this effort (and entering the cryptocurrency space) than anything else. Stellar, also, looks promising (-:

I'm curious about what inaccuracies are you referring to? Coinbase is not a trading platform (no serious trader would pay 1% fees), Kraken does not accept ACH deposits and so on. Can you be more specific? BTW, I love both Coinbase and

The SenSys'06 paper has all the details: http://dunkels.com/adam/pt/publications.html The context for a lot of "wireless sensor networks" discussion in the paper is that Adam's research group w

For example: #12 The PC (1973), this is Butler Lampson's work on Alto while at PARC. MIT (the university) had nothing to do with it. Also, #17 TCP/IP (1977), Bob Kahn was at MIT for 2 years or so a decade before working on TCP

Muneeb here, one of the devs of OneName. Just wanted to let everyone know that we got way more load than we expected and had to fire up a lot of additional namecoind servers. The new servers started coming online 1-2 hours back. So if you r

You should use your own Bitcoin address (from coinbase, blockchain.info, or Bitcoin client). We generate a default BTC address (using the same passphrase/private-key) for people who don't already have bitcoin addresses.

Completely agree with this approach. Conferences, at least for me, are not that helpful. Grad level advanced courses are usually the best resource because other people have "filtered" interesting content and organized it into some

I guess what I was trying to say earlier was that a "PhD in CS from Stanford" is not a universal thing that can then be used to see how desirable (or not desirable) it is in the industry job market. It matter a lot what area you
