I hope Rust doesn't face the same fate as other ambitious projects by Mozilla. Rust has a quite unusual syntax compare to any other systems programming language. Also, there is a big learning curve. Keeping all the benefits aside, I re

I understand the points you made for Sublime. It gives all most of functionality out of the box without having to remember shortcuts or key bindings. However, your criticism of Vim felt weak to me. Your pain point sounds mostly like a misco

Not true, I just read it on my 5" Android phone and it was pretty okay to read. I won't call it hostile at least.

Try using some other language that is functional like LISP or Haskell maybe. Python goals is not be a functional language that that's okay.

It's almost funny that Macbook 2009 or newer is supported but Macbook 2009 or newer is not. Sad I won't be able to get my hands on it.

Looks cool. Couple of pointers: - Use a tool like EsLint to lint your code. It will make it more readable and cleaner than it is right now. Maybe integrate your editor with Eslint and it will guide you to write cleaner code. - You can use u

This is a great project. I have been using it for more than 4 years and it has never disappointed me ever. It picks up from the interrupted download, can convert in any format you prefer and get only audio out if you will. Great work guys!

I think it's important to take regular breaks because pair programming or mob programming requires a very level of high energy. The code quality definitely improves because of many eyeballs into the problem and provides an instant feed

That's right! But open source doesn't always necessarily means better software. Atom for sure ain't better than Sublime in terms of speed at this point of time.

I sympathise with your problem and I understand it must be pretty shitty. But Java is the main language for Android, C/C++ support is via NDK. Since a majority of devs write in Java, naturally more emphasis is given on the Java ecosyst

Well, you could say Servo is world class, but on what basis? Rust looks very nice but hardly anyone outside Mozilla is actually using in production as compared to Golang which has a very good adaptation in the community.

Permission to explore and invent sounds nice and it is very educational. However, It is not a guarantee a good quality product. You need correct decisions and architecture to write any complex software and experience matters a lot in this s

Well, you have a point but you see, both Rust and Servo are at the nascent stage. We still have to see widespread adoption of Rust. Servo is definitely way behind any browser engine in terms of features and specs and rewriting from scratch
