Love this work! From what I’ve heard the Hack/HHVM team has been heading in this general direction too, in their case using the typechecker to improve the IR.

Most of Boston Robotics' products are at least a decade away from being cheaper than humans for anything but the most trivial of tasks. BR requires a lot more investment before they can become a worthwhile purchase.

I had not considered the proliferation of terrible open-source code on GitHub. I'd wager that the amount of code in public repositories from students learning to code may outweigh quality code in GitHub. I wonder if there was any sort

People have been abandoning walled gardens for many decades, but still walled gardens persist. Most either value the walls, or are indifferent to them.

It’s not just food education. If you’re poor in the US you’re much less likely to live near a source of fresh meat and produce, which makes calorie-rich fast food more tempting. You’re more at the mercy of many multi-billion-dollar industri

StackOverflow is great when you don’t know where to start looking for a solution. Whenever I’m in a new domain I’ll spend a lot of time on SO, spending less time there as I get more comfortable. Put another way, I spend 100% less time in hi
