I had not considered the proliferation of terrible open-source code on GitHub. I'd wager that the amount of code in public repositories from students learning to code may outweigh quality code in GitHub. I wonder if there was any sort of filter for Copilot's input — only repositories with more than a certain number of stars/forks, only repositories committed to recently etc.
