Exactly. Been using Tweetbot for years (a decade?). Never seen ads. Timeline is literally a “time line”. And nothing shows up that I don’t want to see like promoted tweets, tweets from people I don’t follow, or trends. Even has some awesome

Love BH! I buy most of my Apple products from them since I’m not charged sales tax in my state (the legality/merits of this can be discussed at a later time).

iOS apps are listed in your purchase history and available for re-download. Even those removed from sale on the store. So unless you’ve hidden the app (an unnecessarily complex process) I’m not sure why you’re not able to continue playing T

Agree with the other comments. What is this submission about? Apple provides AppleCare+ support in perpetuity as long as you keep paying. This title smells of someone trying to stir up controversy where there is none.

Not exactly what you’re looking for but I remember reading this when it was published and it was disturbing to say the least : https://www.theverge.com/2019/2/25/18229714/cognizant-facebo...

Why was the title changed to a single line from the article? Isn’t that in violation of the HN guidelines for submission?

Sure, I guess that’s not out of the realm of possibility. But when you’re holding your keys in front of you when walking to your car to unlock it in the parking lot someone could snatch them out of your hand, sprint to your (unlocked car),

Do you have a source for these claims? Specifically the ones about your locations being sent to Apple and then Apple sharing all of this data with the ‘US federal government’.

Unfortunately, it's probably not. But it's another case of someone not being able to tell the difference between a law and guidelines from a public health agency. (Or someone ignoring the difference so that they can be "outra

This New Yorker article is dated Dec 20. The tweets from the ‘stalking’ thread were posted Dec 21. Not defending Nintendo for anything here, just pointing out this theoretical ‘PR spin’ timeline doesn’t add up.

‘Recent controversies’. Care to elaborate? I follow Nintendo news pretty religiously and for some reason can’t figure out what you’re talking about.

Can you be specific on what issues we should berate Apple and why? Not being argumentative, just curious what they are doing that harms you as a customer (?) shareholder (?) employee (?)

The comparison table makes is seem like the mini can't be paired with an AppleTV at all like the regular HomePod can.

You realize the event wasn't live, right? And Tim's watch clearly shows 10:09 the second he shows up in the video which was 10:01 at the latest "real time".

Look at the watches on the wrists of the speakers in the first 15 minutes of the keynote. They are all set to 10:09.

The second to last paragraph states that the author gave a version of the document as a talk at a conference in 1997. So it appears that your memory is spot-on.
