The idea the supply and demand are manipulated/controlled by the creator of the product, not the market of buyers and sellers. So that negates the private ownership part as well as supply and demand being controlled by buyers and selle

So… free market capitalism for some, but not all? If I buy a good, I should not be able to sell it when/where I see fit?

Western Union was the de facto way for fraudsters to send funds for many years. They didn’t ID the recipient when picking up orders under 700 or 800 dollars. Scams were easy to spot, they t shears try to get you for something just below tha

Taking over AOL “int” accounts was actually considered pretty basic at that time. Getting in the lan as he mentioned was the bigger goal but also wasn’t hard to do at all once you had a few “int” logins. The best was when Gosh took screensh

I expect meta will continue with layoffs. Threads appears to be a flop, their metaverse and AR initiatives don’t seem to be gaining much stream either.

I’ve never truly trusted non in-house recruiters… I was once hiring for a position and working with a contract recruiter. He literally said “let me dig through my roster and see who I placed more than 90 days ago” And they’re guarantee was

I would argue that just because they want to work on AI while it has a lot of hype, might not be a good thing. Folks should do what they are passionate about and interested in, not just raise money to turn a fume from the karat and greatest

The best way to deal with fires is not to. The problems the west is facing are due to so much fire suppression for tire last century and a half left too much fuel near the ground, we are now learning to let them burn.

The only companies I am aware of that moved back to self hosted outgrew the Shopify platform. By that I mean, they had a large enough business with enough unique needs to justify the cost of hiring and running teams that could build the app

Are those failures a direct result of Amazon existing? I would venture to bet it’s one of the reasons but I would also point out that Walmart has done a lot of damage as have poor management decisions in a number of the companies you listed

Between your responses here and the treatment of candidates that appears to be pretty common, Im a big no on ever applying to your company. Your hiring process is broken.
